Falconry Birds in Michigan
Accipiters
There are three members in the Accipiter Family that are indigenous to North America. All three are used as falconry birds in Michigan. As with any family there are some common traits. All of the Accipiters are forest birds. They prefer small birds and small rodents. The adults all have dark gray back and wing feathers.
