A wide variety of Birds of prey are used in Michigan for falconry. Most are perfectly suited for our environment and game base. Other birds face a considerable challenge because of Michigan's lush forests and heavy cover. You will notice, some falconers love a good challenge.

The following pages describe the birds We use in Michigan for falconry from a falconry perspective as opposed to a taxonomic perspective.

The intent of this page is to illustrate the characteristics of each species. Some of these articles include hunting stories submittted by club members.
